It is with great pleasure that we announce the grand reopening of the Community Clothing Closet. Joyce Hart and her team have faithfully served those in our community both at church and at Buena Vista by providing families with new-to-them clothing and a few other basic necessities. Over the last two months, the closet and trailer has supplied clothes to kids at both Agape Christmas parties, a rack of coats to Buena Vista, and items to families transitioning to the area.
The clothing closet is here for you, too!
We encourage the women of UFC to swing by the clothing closet, which is now right next to the Nursing Mom’s Room across from the women’s restroom in the children’s wing, and the trailer in the parking lot. The clothing closet provides adult and baby/toddler clothing, while the trailer is stocked with 5T to size 14 children’s clothing. You’re welcome to visit on Sundays and during business hours Monday through Thursday. The closet and trailer will also be open the second Saturday of each month from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
If you have clothes sizes 5T-14 in good condition that you would like to donate, we are also looking for those sizes to replenish the trailer. If you are interested in helping sort clothes and/or welcome guests on Saturdays, please contact us at ufcwomen.blog@gmail.com.
Get a peak at the closet — and take home some new-to-you clothing — today, February 2 at UFC Women’s Grub and Gab from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Emerald Campus, 1855 Cal Young Road. Bring a potluck dish to share and any items you wish to add to the blessings table (clothing, books, housewares, etc.). We will spend the evening eating, chatting, and shopping for blessings together.
