A High Calling

On Sunday, Pastor Brett Gilchrist spoke on the discipleship practice of evangelism. Drawing from I Corinthians 15:1-8, Acts 1:6-9, and II Corinthians 5:20, he reminded us that God can use fearful people to point others to Jesus. Yes, we might not know how to share the gospel, or we might not want to share it. But the Holy Spirit empowers us for this high calling, often bringing people into our lives to guide us in telling our stories and communicating the gospel message. UFC has a special page of testimonies here to encourage and inspire you to tell your own story of faith. On the page, you will find a guide for how to craft your own story. You can also find testimonies of faith here on the blog.

We look forward to talking more about evangelism and how to tell our stories of faith when we gather for Bible study on Thursday. In addition to our teaching from I Thessalonians 4:13-5:11, we will have a special workshop on creating a life timeline to identify how Jesus has changed and refined us over the years. We hope you’ll join us at either the morning or evening study on Thursday.
