Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever.
The psalmist repeats this refrain 26 times in Psalm 136, reminding us of God’s faithfulness in creation (v. 4-9), in delivering His people from Egyptian enslavement and leading them in the desert wanderings (v. 10-16), and in rooting them in the Promised Land (v. 17-22). Remember today that no matter what we face, God remembers us (v. 23), rescues us (v. 24), and sustains us (v. 25).
