This Week for UFC Women

Ladies, we hope you’ve had a sweet Fourth of July weekend. This week we have some fun things coming up for you. First, don’t forget that we’re continuing our read through the Psalms with 115-118 and 120. You’ll see that we’re skipping over 119 to allow for a full week in this important psalm at the end of the summer. Don’t forget to check your email for daily reading prompts from the blog and postings to our social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram). We’d love see your names pop up in the comments sections as we discuss God’s Word together!

On Thursday, please join us for a hike up Skinner Butte. We will meet at the main Skinner Butte parking lot (off Cheshire near the playground by the river) at 7:30 a.m. We will hike to the top of the butte and enjoy the view, and if your schedule allows, we’d love for you to join us for coffee or tea after the hike.

You’re also invited to find your way to Bond Lane Park from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday for an open air blessings table and playdate hosted by Joanna and Brianna. We will practice social distancing as best as possible and have a hand washing station on hand. Bring your lunches and enjoy some sweet time together.

It’s not too late to pick up a copy of A Gentle Answer by Scott Sauls, which we will be discussing at our Backyard Book Club Night on Thursday, July 16. We do not have a reading plan for this book but encourage you to read the entire book before the evening. We think you’ll find this timely book to be an easy read but also heart-challenging and eye-opening.

If you plan to attend the book club, please email ufcwomen.blog@gmail.com, and we’ll send you the location. This email can also be used if you have any questions about this week’s happenings.
