I am thankful for so many things today, but during this season more than any other, I am thankful for people. I am an introvert by nature, but I am always excited to spend time with “my people.” Below are just a few of the many people I am thankful for. Side note: I don’t take many pictures, so some of these are from my wedding day two years ago. I also cheated and added a sixth picture because who doesn’t love Jenna, Jasmine, and Mary.
My husband Josh and I are quickly approaching our two-year anniversary. I find myself reflecting more and more on on how thankful I am for him. This year has been full of change, and I am thankful for his consistent, prayerful, and goofy presence. I am a lucky gal. I have an older sister Maddy and a twin sister Megan. We have spent more time on FaceTime together in the last few months than in the last two years. Maddy (center) lives in Florida, and Megan (left) lives here in Eugene. I am thankful to have technology that makes communication so easy. My sisters and I were was raised by my dad (right) for most of our lives. He, his brother and his best friend (left) have protected and cared for my sisters and me for so many years. During this season, I have made an effort to call each of them, letting them know how thankful I am for them. I have had the privilege of knowing Aly for nine years and working with her for five. She is fun, energetic and can challenge me in ways I need. Recently my husband got a new job and now works with Ryan, Aly’s husband. I am thankful for both of them and love knowing that my husband and I get to work with them everyday. Also, they got married at South Eugene High School, where our church meets. How cool is that! This is another wedding picture, but one of my favorites. These women have walked with me during different stages of my life. I couldn’t be more thankful to have sisters, mentors, and friends like them. Honestly, Jenna, Jasmine, and Mary are some of the most kind, generous, and loving women I know. I have had the opportunity of living with two of them and learning from each of them for many years. Look at them! How could I not be thankful for them?
